Mental Health and Healthcare Experiences Among Trans and Non-binary Individuals


Study Information
Purpose of Study
The purpose of this study is to identify reliable risk factors for STBs among gender diverse (e.g., trans, non-binary) individuals, determine how these contribute to suicide risk, and translate our findings to improve suicide prevention.

Participation will help researchers better understand healthcare experiences of gender diverse individuals.
Compensation
Participants will be entered into a draw to win an Amazon gift card for Part 1 and 2 of the study, and given the option to be compensated directly $25(CAD) in the form of an Amazon gift card for each Time 2, 3, and 4. The prize draw for a chance to win 1 of 50 $25 (CAD) Amazon gift cards will be offered for completing Part 1, and 1 of 50 $25 (CAD) Amazon gift cards will be offered for completing Part 2 of the study.

Inclusions:
  1. Identify as gender diverse (e.g., trans, non-binary)
  2. Read, and write English fluently
  3. 18 years of age or older

Exclusions:
  1. Does not identify as gender diverse (e.g., trans, non-binary)
  2. Under the age of 18

What You'll Be Asked to Do:
Completion of the first survey will take approximately 45-60 minutes. You will also have the option to sign up for future time points of this study (4 in total over 1 year).
